President Larry thanked all of the members who helped with the float one way or another. Mr. and Mrs. Claus had such a great time. The experience was described as one which every member must enjoy at sometime in the future.

From the Membership Committee
Who’s missing, you’re missing! The Membership Committee has been checking our membership list twice and we’ve “found out” that there have been a lot of empty chairs on Tuesday mornings!  We miss you!  We want you, yes, YOU, to join us on Tuesday mornings for fun and fellowship. We want to invite you to next week’s meeting and we definitely want to see you for our Christmas Celebration on Tuesday December 22nd – you don’t want to miss it!  The Membership Committee has been working almost as hard as Santa’s elves to plan engaging meetings for January – but we need you, yes, YOU to make the meetings a success! See you soon and if we don’t, we’ll call you and don’t forget, we know where you live!
Your caring (and observant) Membership Committee

Sgt @ Arms - Doug Freeman and Mike Finigan collected a bunch of dollars from fines and happy bucks.

Happy Birthday to Elizabeth, Larry and John K.
Happy Anniversary to John and Hettie (46th!!).
The two "Johns" were not present to pay up. Elizabeth's birthday was missed because you know who did not update the list at the library.
A fine will be in order at the next meeting. That is of course assuming that the Sergeant-at-Arms reads the RIP.

Draw for  50/50 - Pot lives! It is over $500 and you can't win it unless you are there!!

Guest Speaker - Mark Woitzik, Lawyer and local Business Entrepreneur

Former Rotarian Mark Woitzik was introduced and spoke about Brock Street Brewery and their big plans for the future.
The company purchased property at the north west corner of Brock and Dunlop. Victor Leone, a partner in the business, showed an architect's concept drawing for the building they would like to erect to include brewing operations, restaurant and banquet facilities. The have presented their plans to Town Council. There is still lots of studies and work to be done before building permits are issued. The best case scenario would be to have the construction completed by Christmas of 2016 but, more realistically, no later than by their 2nd anniversary of Spring of 2017.
Mark indicated that Brock Street Brewery has great plans in mind - looking to create Ontario's 2nd biggest Octoberfest right here in Whitby - will be called Brockoberfest - starting with a 4 day event and planning on extending to a two week event. Mark thanked Rotary for their support and wants to partner with Rotary on the new Brockoberfest.
